How the cookie Crumbls
With so many aspects of Crumbl Cookies to explore, I created various multimedia elements to visually tell the story. From their rapid growth to the ingredients they use, these visuals played a vital role in the article.

First, I designed an infographic featuring their most iconic cookie: the Milk Chocolate Chip. It highlighted how just one cookie can pack excessive amounts of sugar, cholesterol, and more. Next, I used a moving graph to illustrate Crumbl's rapid expansion by tracking the number of stores opened each quarter. This visual proved far more effective than words alone, clearly showing their rise to success.

Lastly, I created two social media-focused graphics: a bar graph comparing Crumbl's social media following with its dessert competitors and a pie chart displaying audience interaction by age range. Both effectively demonstrated how Crumbl leverages social media to its advantage.
Community in harmony: Celebrate the Music 2024
Many different genres were played at Celebrate the Music 2024. I decided the best way to display them was with an interactive map for readers to explore while reading the package. I identified the country or city where each music genre originated and used that data to create the map. I wrote short captions for each genre, describing its style and history, and included the names of the songs performed at the event that matched each genre.
Another multimedia element I made for this package was creating audio clips for a few songs. Since music was the focus, I thought it would be cool to immerse the reader by letting them listen to the actual performances. I used my phone to record short snippets of the songs and uploaded them to SoundCloud, allowing me to embed them on SNO.
Education downloads a system update
My feature article focused on the evolution and impact of technology in education. My partner and I extensively researched the financial background and data on EdTech. Simply reading numbers can be confusing, so I decided that creating a visual graph would be the most effective way to convey the information. By using a bar graph, readers can clearly see the trends and interpret the data more easily.

Another aspect of EdTech is its growing usage. There are thousands of EdTech companies worldwide, and I wanted to highlight their diverse locations. To do this, I created an interactive global map, inputting the number of EdTech companies in each country to show their distribution around the world. The visual uses color to indicate the intensity of each country's EdTech company presence, making it easy to interpret. Both of these multimedia elements were created with Flourish.
